The Fool — Spiritual Message of the Day
The Fool tells us to go out there and live. Carpe diem! Don’t worry about what other people think; go where your soul leads you, and do what your heart tells you to do. Don’t be afraid to be a “wild and crazy guy” now and then. Go ahead and march to the beat of a different drummer.[1]
Conventional thinking and fear of embarrassment should not hold you back when you hear a calling to do something different from the norm. It’s only when you are willing to risk looking like a fool that you can be your authentic self, and allowing your true spirit to manifest in your physical life is a very spiritual act. The following quote from Mark Twain expresses this sentiment beautifully:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
