Six of Swords — Spiritual Message of the Day

The Six of Swords, with its depiction of a somber voyage to a new and better land, can suggest a new outlook on life. Sometimes this can come from a change in our circumstances (such as a new job, relationship or location), but more effective is a change in our perspective since, as the saying goes, “happiness is an inside job.”
Thus, our search for happiness may entail learning to see the proverbial glass as half full instead of half empty or looking for the good in other people instead of the bad. It may also take us on a journey of discovery where we find that the spiritual aspects of life are what are important and we renounce our penchant for measuring everything with a materialistic yardstick.
Although it may help if someone else can point the way for us, the choice of perspective is always ours.
