Discussion: What card? (Kind rebels)

March 10, 2012

“If you want to be a rebel, be kind.” — Pancho Ramos

My recoloring of RWS StrengthI highly recommend an article I recently read about an incredible person named Pancho Ramos.

It easily calls to mind the Strength card and the Hanged Man. What other cards does it remind you of? For example, consider this quote from the article, which compares activism to spirituality, service to meditation:
My version of the RWS Hanged Man

Spirituality often sees activism as unnecessarily binding, while activism often sees spirituality as a navel-gazing escape. For Pancho, though, the two paths merge into one. Meditation is internal service, while service is external meditation.

  1. Now that is just so true! I could not agree more! I must say, your cards are fabulous, James. These cards want to be in my home, and in my hands, and I want them badly! I am going to investigate Pancho Ramos, and thank you for the link to his FB page. I practice bhakti shaktism, which to me is the same thing as activism as a meditation. Love expressed as creative energy expanding outward. That is exactly my path. Thank you so much for sharing this. It is not often that I find an expression of spiritual living which I can actually endorse personally, or hear an expression of my spiritual path stated well. Also btw, I enjoy the frequency of your blog posts and read them often.
