Pithy Tarot meanings — Five of Swords
Five of Swords:
Sometimes the best response to an argument is just to walk away from it.
Pithy Tarot card meanings are short, easy to remember meanings, and they will even stimulate further insights when called to mind during a reading. In addition, they can be fun.

What I love about this card, is you can read it so clearly from either set of eyes. Either walking away, as you rightly say, or choosing to look for a row. This card is more often than not a card that really forces us to look at our actions and more importantly – motives. It really can be pivotal in steering an outcome. I think the walking away comes with age and a little bit of wisdom. I know if I look back to how I was when I was in my 20′s it is perhaps different to how I have become. I have never been in a fight, but with youth sometimes comes the attitude of, ‘you are right so don’t walk away!!’ Oh…. how we learn.
Thanks again for these James. Even if I don’t do a daily draw, your postings always give me something to muse over.
Thank you for your thoughts and your kind words, Davina.
In case you didn’t see it already, I think you’ll like this perspective on the Five of Swords too: http://jamesricklef.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/pithy-five-swords-4/ … It takes a different approach but with a similar idea.
