Three of Coins / Pentacles — Spiritual Message of the Day

June 17, 2011

“Snowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together.” — Vista M. Kelly

Snowflake
Snowflakes are eternally the same within their infinite diversity. They all share a common essence—they are all frozen water—yet no two are alike. It’s the same with us. We are all “frozen souls” — Spirit manifested in a material body. So we are all the same in our essential spiritual nature, yet we are all unique. No two people are identical.

We marvel at the distinctiveness of individual snowflakes, and we are enchanted by their intricately unique forms. Unfortunately, we fail to extend that sense of wonder and delight to the infinite variety of humankind. We adopt a tribal “us versus them” attitude. Instead of celebrating our diversity, we try to make other people conform to our patterns of behavior, belief, and appearance, or we just plain condemn theirs.

.
Three of Coins / Pentacles -- Tarot of the MastersPerhaps we should try to be more like snowflakes. They don’t judge each other or try to change each other. Instead, they stick together, and it’s rather awe-inspiring to see the incredible results when they do. Consider, for example, the irresistible power of an avalanche. So if we stick together instead of judging and condemning, if we all work together and use the powerful synergy of our differences, we can create a wonderful new world of peace, joy, and harmony.

If you enjoy these words of spiritual advice from the cards, you will love my new Tarot book called The Soul’s Journey: Finding Spiritual Messages in the Tarot.
