Six of Wands — Spiritual Message of the Day

October 11, 2011

“The Supernal Light in you recognizes the Supernal Light in others and in the world around you.” — Tau Malachi

Six of Wands -- Tarot of the Masters

We can see that this quote is applicable to the Six of Wands when we combine the numerological meaning of reciprocity that is associated with the number six with an elemental association of the suit of Wands to our inner spiritual light. The import of this is that when we recognize the divine spark within others, we are actually remembering that it is within us as well, which helps that light to manifest within all of us. Every time we do that—even if only for just a moment—we are taking a step toward reunification with the Divine.

To enlighten both our life and the world we live in, we can repeatedly remind ourselves that we and everyone else are spiritual beings and that the Divine dwells in us all. Recognition of our divine nature reinforces our recognition of that of others, and vice versa. And so we see that we are all in this together, working to recognize the Divine in each other while also remembering it in ourselves. In this way, we help reveal and manifest the divinity within us and in the world around us.  As Ram Dass famously said, “We are all just walking each other home.”

  1. I often recognize the divine spark in others, but then I forget I have it too and I get jealous. I don’t know what cards that would be. Maybe the 4 of pentacles combined with The Devil? Point well taken though.

That’s a good picture of you, by the way, but do you really look like that or is it heavily imaged? Feel free not to answer that. I was thinking of getting a processed photo, but my face would probably still appear too fat, even expertly photoshopped.
