Three of Wands — Spiritual Message of the Day
Like the man standing on a hilltop in the RWS Three of Wands and the man on a balcony in my Tarot of the Masters version, our eternal, inner Self observes our lives from a higher vantage point, so to speak. Although it does stay involved in life, it also remains detached, much like you or I when we watch a movie. And that is a good illustrative analogy.
I have found that when a scene in a movie becomes too intense, painful, or stressful, I can regain my equilibrium and equanimity by glancing away, diverting my attention to the reality of the theater to remind myself that the movie isn’t real. Our lives are like that too. When life’s burdens begin to stress us, we can draw our awareness in to the elevated perspective our divine Self, the inner observer. Then we will rediscover the bliss and serenity that is our birthright, our essential self.
