Pithy Tarot meanings — The Death card

September 30, 2014

Death -- Tarot of the MastersHere is a pithy meaning for the Death card:

One of this week’s Postsecrets suggested a pithy meaning for the Death card:
Don’t let your last mortal thought be: “Why did I take so many days for granted?”

This meaning may seem rather peripheral to the Death card, but actually we can see that it is quite integral to it when we also consider this quote (which can serve as a pithy meaning for this card too):

“Death is the dark backing a mirror needs if we are to see anything.” — Saul Bellow

Note: Each of these pithy Tarot meanings is just one facet of its card. Find more of them on my Card Meanings page.  Also, get my Pithy Tarot Book and LIKE my Pithy Tarot Facebook page!
