What does the Nine of Swords mean?

April 1, 2015

Nine of Swords -- Tarot of the MastersHere is a pithy meaning for the Nine of Swords.

This card is often called “the worry card,” so of course, I thought of it when recently I read that 85% of the things we worry about never happen.  So let’s make that a pithy meaning for this card:

85% of the things we worry about never happen.

PS: And then, 79% of us handle the 15% that does happen in ways that surprise us with our ability to turn the situation around.

By the way, that article also describes a way to rewire your brain to quiet the worry circuit.

  1. This is an interesting take on this card, and often with many with clients the surrounding cards are positioned as such that the “worry” is not only unnecessary, but is causing so much stress that the seeker has only made a matter worse.

    Love and Light,
    Aeneas
