What does the Nine of Swords mean?

May 27, 2015

Nine of Swords -- Tarot of the MastersToday’s pithy Tarot meaning for the Nine of Swords shows us how to escape from the worry trap:

When you find yourself worrying about something, try shifting your focus to visualizing what you want instead.

I came to this pithy meaning through consideration of a couple things. First, as noted here, here, and here, the Nine of Swords often indicates too much worry.  Now, it’s all well and good to realize the problem (which is what those pithy meanings point out) but we need to find solutions too, right?  I implied the solution you see in today’s pithy meaning in one I posted about a year ago, which you can see here.  However, when I saw today’s tip on my “Breathe 2 Relax” app (which you can find on iTunes or Google/Android), B2R tip: visualize not worryI realized that we can use an even more explicit solution to the worry trap since we all fall into it sometimes.  Inspired by that B2R tip, I came up with today’s pithy meaning for the Nine of Swords.
