What does the Ace of Swords mean?

June 3, 2015

Ace of Swords -- Tarot of the MastersHere is a pithy meaning for the Ace of Swords:
“The most important transformation is one of consciousness.” — Mary K. Greer (From her workshop at the 2005 Los Angeles Tarot Symposium)

Here is my interpretation of this quote:
We think we have to change the world around us, but this quote says that it’s more important to first find a new way to see or understand the world around us.  This change transforms everything.
