What does the Strength card mean?

March 18, 2016

Strength -- Tarot of the MastersHere is a pithy meaning for the Strength card:
All bullies are cowards.

Sometimes it’s important to know that bullying is a sham version of strength. It’s superficial, hollow, and ultimately, fragile.  That’s why bullies don’t pick fair fights.  The prospect of a fair fight will scare a bully off because if he had real courage, he would not have to pretend to have strength by picking fights where the odds are so stacked in his favor. (Note that although I use “he” in the preceding discussion, a bully can be female too.)

This pithy meaning for the Strength card is similar to a couple others, which I want to refer you to: one about cruelty and one about bravado.  Also, it is based on this card’s shadow aspect or its reversed meaning if you use reversals.

Note: Each of these pithy Tarot meanings is just one facet of its card. Find more of them on my Card Meanings page.  Also, get my Pithy Tarot eBook or the FREE app that uses my pithy Tarot meanings … and LIKE my Pithy Tarot Facebook page!
