What does the Two of Wands mean?

April 19, 2016

Two of Wands -- Tarot of the MastersHere is a pithy meaning for the Two of Wands:
It takes two to tango.

This pithy meaning is, of course, an old saying, which means that both parties involved in an argument or fight are responsible for it. (Less commonly, this saying is used to indicate that both parties need to work together to create a solution.)

Often we get mad at someone for an argument, and we forget that we are both partly responsible.  Beyond a matter of blame (which is what we typically think responsibility indicates), this card also says that we can avoid or mitigate future problems, and we can relieve current ones when we realize this simple truth: It takes two to tango.
