What does the Five of Wands mean?

September 25, 2016

Five of Wands -- Tarot of the MastersHere is a pithy meaning for the Five of Wands:
“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.” ― W.C. Fields

Although one might think this quote is about intelligence and thus belongs in the suit of Swords, I see it as a recommendation for (or warning about) confusion and chaos. Hence, my association of it with the Five of Wands. And with that in mind, the following is another way to put this.

If you can’t convince them, confuse them.
