The Strength card suggests a way to live a happier life

March 10, 2017

Strength -- Tarot of the MastersThere are many ways to use Tarot cards beyond the well-known process of doing a traditional reading. Here’s a way to create a happier life today using a bit of advice from the Strength card.

Today’s message was inspired by the following pithy meaning for the Strength card:

There is both a Lady and a Lion in everyone.  Always see the Lady, even when you have to deal with the Lion.

So here is the advice that the Strength card offers today:

At the start of the day, make a commitment to see the Lady instead of the Lion at least once today.  Then, in the course of your daily activities, when you encounter an angry person, know that this is the Lion you’ve been waiting for.  And know that there is a gentle Lady in there somewhere.  (It might help if you can visualize her hovering behing this person.) Then interact with the Lady instead of with the Lion that is growling at you.

It is possible that, when you do this, the person’s Lady will step forward, and you’ll have the good fortune of her taking over from the Lion. But even if there is no such overtly happy change, know that you’ve encouraged that person’s Lady to be more assertive in the future. Also, you will have manifested your own Lady instead of letting your Lion roar in response, and that makes you a better person.

PS: You can read more about this advice to see the Lady (even when you have to deal with the Lion) in a blog post from a few years ago called “Strength — Spiritual Message of the Day.”
