The Two of Wands suggests a way to live a happier life
There are many ways to use Tarot cards beyond the well-known process of doing a traditional reading. Here’s a way to create a happier life today using a bit of advice from the Two of Wands.
A few years ago, I posted this pithy meaning for the Two of Wands:
“It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game that counts.” — Traditional saying
This old saying suggests the importance of good sportsmanship when playing a competitive game, and I think it also obliquely suggests the value of cooperative games, i.e., games that don’t involve one person or team winning and the other losing. That second interpretation works well with something I said about this card in my book, The Soul’s Journey: “… cooperation is preferable to conflict for it brings synergy instead of damage…”
These thoughts about the Two of Wands suggest a couple of things you can do today to create a bit of happiness in your life:
ONE: Play a game and just enjoy the process of it. Make a conscious decision not to worry about “whether you win or lose.”
TWO: Choose a game that involves cooperation instead of competition, a game that has no winners or losers, just participants.
If you want help finding a cooperative game, check out an article titled (appropriately) “Cooperative Games” as well as some Tarot Games I’ve discussed. Also, here are a couple of on-line resources that are designed for kids, but there’s a kid in all of us, right?
Finally, there are some cooperative board games for adults that you can buy if you are so inclined.
Many of these suggestions from the cards about how to live a happier, more fulfilled life were inspired by my pithy Tarot meanings and others by material in my book, The Soul’s Journey.
