The Seven of Cups suggests a way to live a happier life

June 19, 2017

Seven of Cups -- Tarot of the MastersThere are many ways to use Tarot cards beyond the well-known process of doing a traditional reading. Here’s a way to create a happier life today using a bit of advice from the Seven of Cups.

Imagination is a powerful creative tool, and as such, it can be a source of either pain or gain. It is the former when it carries us away into the land of our fears. It is the latter when we use it to create a better future, so let’s do that one instead. Let’s create something wonderful with our imagination. In other words, let’s “dream with our eyes open” as I once said in a pithy meaning for the Seven of Cups. To do this, here is a suggestion for today that will help you create a happier life.

Begin by thinking of something that you want in your life. Next, breathe deeply and calmly until you are in a calm, meditative state, then imagine that you have that thing you want and visualize yourself experiencing it.  Spend some time in this process of creative visualization.
