What does the Three of Swords mean?

May 7, 2018

Three of Swords -- World Spirit TarotHere is a pithy meaning for the Three of Swords:
The reflection of ourselves that we see in other people can be the cruelest wound of all.

This meaning comes from the fact that the flaws we see in other people are often flaws within ourselves, and that realization can be a painful one until we figure out how to see it as a creative discovery.  This also implies the painful realization that what we dislike in someone else might be a trait we dislike (and want to ignore) within ourselves.

PS: This meaning was suggested to me by the World Spirit Tarot.
