What does the Ace of Swords mean?
Here is a pithy meaning for the Ace of Swords:
Ignorance has a special arrogance all its own.
This statement may be true because (as the saying goes) “You don’t know what you don’t know,” but I think there’s more to it than that. Consider, for example, the following quote (which I once posted for the Page of Swords) that expresses a similar sentiment:
“The less people know, the more stubbornly they know it.” — Osho
Although I assigned that one to the Page of Swords, I am going with the Ace for this one. However, it’s up to you to decide which card to assign either of these pithy meanings to. After all, the Ace (beginnings) and the Page (youth) have similar qualities.
Finally, I would like to point out that this pithy meaning may be seen as a negative or reversed aspect of this card.
