What does the Seven of Wands mean?

September 14, 2021

Here is a pithy meaning for the Seven of Wands:
Put an end to “Better”

Here is a somewhat less pithy way to put this:

The idea that you are somehow better than someone else causes heartache, suffering, cruelty.

This pithy meaning was inspired by a passage in Neale Donald Walsch’s book, Friendship with God. Here is a quote from that book:

“… give up your ideas of superiority, [which] is the most seductive idea human beings ever had. … It has justified the wholesale slaughter of members of your own species, and every other species of sentient being on your planet. This one single thought … has caused all the heartache, all the suffering, all the cruelty, all the inhumanity that you have inflicted upon each other.”
