I’m a big fan of James Ricklef’s tarot deck Tarot of the Masters, and I appreciate the fact that the care and knowledge he put into the deck is also evident in his blog entries. The posts are informative, entertaining, and enriching.
James’ insight to the tarot is one that I’ve always respected and heeded. He’s taught me so much more depth in what the tarot has to offer. The blog is a wonderful source of information on the varying topics related to tarot, but more importantly, have excellent examples of real-life applications. As a tarot reader deepening my experience and practical knowledge of the tarot, I am able to gleen from James’ years of experience.
James, I have to tell you, I rarely read blog posts on a regular basis. Even the few fashion ones I subscribe to, I just look at the pictures! But your blog is so well written and so topical on a regular basis, I’m completely hooked. You’re really doing an outstanding job!
James is the ultimate tarot professional and I love all of his work from the first books and KnightHawk readings through his wonderful Tarot of the Masters Deck. James has written books that in my opinion, are ‘must have’s for any tarot collection. His style is approachable, down to earth and also practical. I was so pleased when he then added his own tarot deck. With regards the blog I find it so enlightening to see a blog that really allows us to feel part of his musings in a way often lacking with regular blogs. It is not just a case of James saying what is on his mind, but inviting us to take part in subsequent discussions. Not only is this refreshing it also allows us (as the visitor) to learn so much on how to get the best out of our own readings. I highly recommend any publication by James and would also recommend his blog is visited on a regular basis. It will be enlightening and helps remind us how special and approachable a person he really is.

James’ blog is a great place for the beginner to expand skills, or the very experienced to brush up on their work with Tarot. His thoughts are well written and easily understood. I have taken many classes from James and have learned a lot. My copy of his book Tarot Tells The Tale, is so dog-eared and used that Im going to have to buy another. With him Tarot is an art an he is truly a Master at it.

James is not just the author of great tarot books – he is also a great tarot reader and a gifted teacher as well. I recently wrote a comment regarding the accurate and insightful reading I had with James. Since then I have received his Tarot of the Masters cards. They “speak” to me more than any other deck, and I have quite a few in my collection. I also now have his “Tarot and Your Spiritual Path” book, which I am enjoying immensely. My spiritual beliefs are in line with James’ and his writing about each card provides a dimension that is way beyond other writers about the tarot. Thoroughly enjoying my experience. I have ordered his other books as well.

I love your new deck and Spiritual takes on the cards. I feel that in the last year or so, my readings have become a lot better, and different than they used to be. I use the Celtic Cross a lot to get a feel for what the person is going through, but then it seems like all the dots connect in a different way and the cards tell me other things. I am reading out of a new business now, more spiritually in tune, and meditate there too, so that may also be helping. I finally realized that even though we start with the books, it’s your intuition and heart you must listen to.
Great reading! I’m amazed! James mentioned some specific details of my life that I hadn’t shared with anyone so far… And I’m talking about things that tarots handbook don’t normally teach you… He provided me with some important tools to work on things. What more can I say? James has knowledge, empathy and intuition. Borrowing from literature, I’ll say “Sense and sensibility”!
