The Devil — Spiritual Message of the Day

We typically consider temptation to be a bad thing, but in a way there is a higher purpose to it. It is a crucible where we may develop virtue and purity. Certainly the nobility of our lives is not determined by how little we are tempted, but by how well we resist temptation and how well we recover from its clutches if we do fall prey to it.  In fact our fear of temptation actually draws it closer to our hearts. So this card’s lesson for today is to embrace temptation as an opportunity rather than fear it as an obstacle, for every time you overcome temptation, you become a better person. See it as a learning experience that enables you to become a more virtuous person.
